Christmas Placemats

Hello Everyone!

Christmas will be here soon and last year I never got around to do any Christmas Sewing. This year I decided not to let that happen, so I got my Christmas fabrics out in September.
Of course a lot of it was scraps, but there was two packs of fat quarters that hadn’t been used. These ten fat quarters; three red, two green and five white , became five large placemats.

I used my mug rug and pot holder tutorial that you can download from my tutorial page.
I cut each fat quarter in to 13″x17″ and used a white one and a red or a green one for each placemat. I also cut five pieces of thin iron on batting in the same size and ironed them on to the white pieces.

Easter Sewing

Hello Everyone!

It is almost Easter and if you have time for some Easter sewing I have a couple of small scrap projects that you will be able to finish in a couple of hours. It is also a lot of fun to play around with what fabrics, colours and thread to use. I have made an easter version of the mug rug that I made a tutorial for a couple of weeks ago. You can find the tutorial and pattern on my tutorials page or here.
