A couple of months ago I bought a rivet tool kit at the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair. This weekend I finally had time to try it, it was also a good reason to make another bag.
As you can see the rivets looks great and the tool kit was really easy to use. I bought the faux leather handles from Wish some time ago.
The tote bag is large, 16″ x 16″ not including the handles. I think this will be a very useful bag so I will keep it for myself. Very often I end up giving the bags to my daughters. The bag has a recessed zipper and two pockets in the lining. One zipper pocket for smaller items and a padded pocket with velcro closure for a tablet or small laptop.
I really enjoy this kind of sewing when I get to try a new thing and make things up as I go. I can spend hours with fabric, zippers, thread and different embellishments to create something new. Maybe it is a future pattern.
