A couple of weeks ago I got an unusual request for a sewing project. One of my son’s med school friends wanted a case for her stethoscope. The only instructions I got was no pink and she wanted her initials on it.

Hello everyone, I hope you had a nice week. My last post was about raw edge applique and to continue on that subject I would like to show you a Winding Ways Quilt that I made in 2011 for one of my girls. It’s lucky I put labels on my quilts, I wouldn’t remember otherwise.
This weekend I had a lovely day at the beach on Saturday and the rest of the time I worked on the applique pillow that I wrote about in my first blog post. The pattern is from Don’t Look Now by Kellie Wulfsohn. It is still work in progress but I have started the applique.

I have been making cushions for a new sofa this week. I didn’t want to put old cushions on the the sofa. They were very worn out and flat. I made two cushions with a zipper and two with piping and a zipper.
